Week 6: Sanitation Training
With the generous help of Give Love, students and other community members attended a workshop on how composting toilets can meet both sanitation and agricultural needs.
The training consisted of a presentation and then a hands-on demonstration of how to compost safely and effectively. It was attended by nearly twenty students and community members, all of whom now have the knowledge to start small scale composting at home.
By imparting the skills Haitian needs to meet their own sanitation needs after we leave we can affect sustainable change in the lives of disaster survivors.
