After several weeks of organising, the community garden is up and running! Community volunteers will be coming daily to water and weed the garden.
In addition to the plans actually growing in the garden, we’re also working on a seedling nursery where community members can come to get plants for their own gardens. GrassRoots United (GRU) has generously donated space on their base to jump start the project. We’re very excited to watch the plants grow and, eventually, provide seedlings to start other community gardens.
