After several weeks on assessment EDV is now officially launching Programme Port-au-Prince.
Our programme will aim to do more than provide relief – we hope to empower survivors to direct their own recovery. By working closely with community members we can affect change that will far outlive our presence here in Haiti.
Our work on the ground has been greatly aided by our partner here in Haiti, GrassRoots United (GRU). GRU is an international disaster response organization that provides resources and connectivity to groups looking to operate quickly in disaster environments. With a focus on continuity and community involvement GRU strives to ensure that community collaboration continues long after international aid groups move on.
