At EDV, we take the time to carefully consider whether or not a programme would be appropriate by carrying out extensive assessments. In this section you can read a history of our previous assessments, including details of why our assessments across Asia did not turn into programmes.

Haiti Assessment, June 2010

EDV's assessment team arrived in Haiti on 10th June and is currently looking into how EDV can support local recovery efforts. Read more »

Philippines Assessment, March 2010

From March to May 2010, EDV's assessment team was active in the Philippines following a devastating string of typhoons that struck in the autumn of 2009. Read more »

Vietnam Assessment, February 2010

EDV began work in Asia by sending an an assessment team to Vietnam in Feburary 2010 to look into the possibility of supporting long-term recovery efforts following the devastating typhoons of September and October 2009. Read more »

Italy Assessment, April 2009

In April, 2009, EDV assessed the possibility of responding to the magnitude 6.3 earthquake which struck Aburzzo, in central Italy, on 6th April and affected tens of thousands. Read more »
