HODR - Post Earthquake Response Programme

The HODR deployment we at EDV remember best is Pisco, Peru, August 2007 when HODR responded to an 8.0 earthquake. Over the 4 month programme volunteers completed 298 rubble jobs - clearing sites so that temporary homes could be placed. In partnership with other organisations volunteers also built and repaired 300 temporary houses and 110 temporary classrooms.

EDV director Andrew Chaggar volunteered with HODR in Pisco after completing his work with The TVC. Our Media and Marketing Director Emma Taylor also got her start with HODR in Peru.
